Letter from the Editors

Dear Old Pal Reader,

We are very excited to release this, the sixth issue of Old Pal Magazine. Continuing our dedication to providing a platform for various practices of art, we present selections of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and art created by artists from multiple countries and communities. With a new year just beginning, the art in this issue is reflective and ponderous. Art through self-examination and self-examination through art: self-portrait as still life of fruit; herbivore self; self-regarding as unself; the self-seen and self-helped. With unique but relatable voices, the artists presented here venture tender discovery and growth through their methods and focuses.

Putting this issue together required dedication, labor, and a lot of time. We received the most submissions to date, which felt very good. We wish to always remain a welcoming and desirable magazine for artists and writers. In the future, we hope to continue reaching and engaging new artists and communities. Art is fun and exciting! Old Pal hopes to be that as well.

Thank you to everyone who sent us your work for consideration. It will always be a privilege and a joy to create an issue of Old Pal, and we hope to share that with you.
